This program serves as a fundraising campaign for non-sectarian, non-partisan, charitable community groups through our “3% Thursdays”, “Register Round Up”, and “Coins for Community” campaigns.
- 3% Thursday: 3% of gross receipts on the third Thursday of the month are donated to the featured monthly organization.
- Register Round Up: Shoppers have the opportunity to round up their purchases at the register throughout the entire month, in support of that month’s organization.
- Coins for Community: Customers may choose to donate coins in the jar at the register.
We are currently accepting applications for 2020. To qualify for consideration please submit the following application by November 1st, 2019 via post or email.

Organizations will be eligible for the program based on their service to the community in the following areas: local community service organizations, organic food, healthy food for children or seniors, environmentally friendly and sustainable agricultural practices, human rights, environmental preservation and groups with similar missions and values. The Co-op Management team will select the organizations and assign each to a month and an accompanying Thursday of the following calendar year. Selected programs will be contacted prior to the first of the year.
We believe that this program offers benefits that extend far beyond the monetary contribution. If your organization is selected we would like to make sure the campaign receives as much visibility as possible, through both our marketing materials and yours. We look forward to combining our efforts to promote your organization and its values to our members and the community at large.
