I have been an island resident for 21 years working as a woodworker. I run my own business making furniture and cabinets with most of my work staying on San Juan Island. My wife and I raised our daughter here and we have volunteered for many projects during that time including for the San Juan Food Co-op. I was on the Board from 2009 to 2011 and helped move the store from Surina into our current location. Last year I was appointed to fill an empty seat on the board and am now running to finish that term. I love our Co-op because of our strong focus on local and regional food. Our Co-op plays an important role in the food security of our unique home.
